The view from Vauxhall Cross of the London "Big Time" Y2K Millennium fireworks, 1st January 2000 A.D.  I took a break from Y2K-checking to watch from the roof of our offices.

I didn't see the "River of Fire", but the 40 tons of fireworks over the next 15 minutes were excellent. Then two million people along the River Thames applauded, cheered and guzzled champagne... see the aftermath...
