This is the joint agreement of the undersigned Members of the <your syndicate name here> UK National Lottery Syndicate, hereafter referred to as the Syndicate.
The Syndicate is an agreement of the Members separate to the business of their employer.
This group agreement was redrawn on the 18th of March, 1999. The Syndicate Manager will keep the original document as the Inland Revenue may require to see it as evidence of our group agreement.
The Syndicate Manager is John V. Keogh who is responsible for running the Syndicate, purchasing and holding the tickets, and the collection and division of the winnings.
Under current National Lottery Game rules, a prize on a winning ticket is payable to one person only and so the manager will write his name and address on the back of the tickets in accordance with the National Lottery's advice.
A photocopy of the tickets can be provided on request to each group Member.
The current Members of the Syndicate are as listed below. Other members of Shift 3 are eligible to join the Syndicate.
The Manager, who is also a Member of the Syndicate, will collect £8.00 (eight pounds) from each Syndicate Member every eight weeks, note down the six numbers given by each Member, and purchase Multidraw tickets for the next eight Saturday draws. Extra Lucky Dip lines will be purchased with any extra funds from small wins: these lines will not affect the percentage of the winnings that each Member might receive.
The Manager will also make the current numbers and prize amounts available for inspection on the World Wide Web at http://www.enkil.demon.co.uk/lotto.html and he will endeavour to update the pages soon after each Saturday draw.
Members are advised that non-payment in advance of the first draw in each eight week period could result in expulsion from the Syndicate unless arrangements are made to pay the Manager.
When less than three hundred pounds is won at the end of the eight weeks, the Manager will decide whether extra lines (lucky dips) are to be purchased or whether the next eight week's tickets will be purchased using the winnings.
When more than three hundred pounds are won, the Manager will distribute a share of the winnings to each Member. Each share will be equivalent to the total amount won divided by the number of Members: ie if there are thirteen Members each Member will receive one thirteenth of the winnings.
If the group has a big win, the Members will vote by show of hands or in a secret ballot to decide whether or not they want publicity.
